A licensed professional teacher (Philippines) with doctoral and master’s degree in Education. An expert in education research and education technology with 10 years of experience working with more than 10 government and intergovernmental organizations. Extensive experience in supporting education innovations such as mother-tongue-based multilingual education, literacy and reading interventions, the development of open educational resources, and contextualization and formulation of programs and policies to various contexts. Co-designed and co-implemented different programs and interventions that helped marginalized children and youth who are most impacted by inequality and discrimination in geographically isolated, disadvantaged and conflict-affected areas.

Fatin Aliah Phang

I have a Bachelor Degree in Education with Science and Computer. This degree aims to equip us with the knowledge of educational training and use of technology in teaching and learning. Later, I have been involved in research on the use of drone in teaching and learning among primary and secondary school students. Since 2020, we have been organizing Drone Edu Challenge, a competition to nurture the interest in science through the use of drone among school students. I am also one of the consultants in the National Robotics Roadmap, commissioned by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia. I am now helping with the establishment of the Robotic Talent Development Academy (RoTDA) for MOSTI. Last year, I was awarded a Fundamental Research Grant Scheme by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia to lead a research project on developing STEM knowledge through drone technology for school-aged learners.

I work on few aspects - I look at how technology based education can be useful for learners with special need : have been working for children with autism; I look at designing inclusive technology that can be useful for marginal communities, and finally, I look at ways technology learning itself can be useful for women and marginal communities being a faculty of computer science myself.

Yasmeen Walid Abuhasirah

I have a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). I have a demonstrated history of working in information technology and e-learning skills. I am a certified Moodle trainer by Moodle, and I am holding an approved Basic Training and Advanced Training course by Erasmus+.

My responsibilities at PTUK are supporting the digital learning environment, including course design, development, and implementation. I also deliver multimedia content and provide ongoing resources and digital learning tools like assignments, quizzes, and forums for tutors and students.

I have taken part in many international projects. Such as the Palestinian Academic and Agribusiness Cooperation project "PAAC" funded by NUFFIC / Maastricht University (Netherlands), and ROMOR FAIR Research Data Management Project funded by Erasmus+ / Parma University, (Italy). I am a member of the e-Learning and Open Learning Sub-Network of the Union of Universities of the Mediterranean area UNIMED. I am a speaker at fostering the creation of Open Education Ecosystems in the Mediterranean hosted by UNIMED- Rome, Italy. I have participated in Euro-Mediterranean Intercultural Trends Training by Anna Lindh Foundation and the UNIMED. I have been participating in the Kazan World Youth Summit in Kazan/Russia, in 2022, I am selected out of 7600 applicants of highly talented young leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, and influencers I am one of the selected participants at the fourth call of Palestine Quebec Science Bridge(PQSB: https://www.palast.ps/index.php/en/what-we-do/science-bridges/pqsb/4th%20PQSB%20participation ). I published two papers, the first one in the field of data mining and artificial intelligence, and the second in distance education under Oppression: the Case of Palestinian Higher Education (https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=pFuAqNoAAAAJ ).

Jyoti U. Devkota

I have delivered lectures on various courses of Statistics and Mathematics in various universities of Nepal including Kathmandu University. I have a teaching experience of more than thirty years. I have a research experience of more than 25 years. My main focus in research is on the interdisciplinary applications of Statistics to problems from Health, Energy and Environment. I focus on development and application of statistical and mathematical methods for data generation, data correction, data analysis and prediction. This is done from the perspective of limited and scarce data of the developing world. My research provides guidelines to policy makers and planners. I was also a project leader of a third party funded project for a period of five years. I was involved in this project from the phase of project inception, project design, project management and implementation.

Luisa F. Echeverría-King

I have a PhD in Education from Universidad de Murcia (Spain). I am a researcher and consultant for universities and government entities. I love international education and the development of research capabilities in Latinamerica. In recent years, I have participated in several consulting projects and trained more than 3000 professors and staff. Since 2012, I have been engaged in the internationalization of higher education, holding different positions in higher education and government institutions and actively participating in international networks. I was Head of International Relations at the Universidad del Atlántico, in Colombia. As Internationalization Advisor at the Colombian Ministry of Education, I led the project "Promoting the Internationalization of Higher Education", supporting Colombian HEIs in strengthening their internationalization capacities. At SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje), I led the internationalization at home strategy. I have been also leader of internationalization of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia.

The research I do is the basis for my consulting projects.

Cindy Sia

Senior Consultant at KPMG Australia in the Management Consulting division. She is one of the lead designers in the Design and Architecture space in the Salesforce practice with experience and execution of building multi-million dollar plus models in the space of supply chain management, customer experience, scientific R&D, social impact and government.

Being a yearly judge for the Internationally Genetically Engineered Machine Competition (iGEM) since bringing home the Gold Award and Best Energy Project since 2017, she is excited to see and witness new talents and innovation through science and technology. She is passionate with new ideas emerging and mentorship to guide other women and others in diverse cultures with the Women in Consulting Community and other programs.

Elizabeth Alves Andrade Barbosa

Elizabeth Alves Andrade Barbosa was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology – University of Cabo Verde. Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies in Education from the University of Lisbon - Portugal, master’s in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro – Portugal, and a bachelor’s in Computing in Education from Instituto Superior de Educação - University of Cape Verde. She has been teaching at the public University of Cape Verde - Faculty of Sciences and Technologies since 2006. From 2013 to 2015 she was the president of the Pedagogical Council and from 2012 to 2014 “Vogal” for the Administrative Area of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Since October 2022 she has been the advisor of the Distance Learning Support Center at the Public University of Cape Verde.

Ruetai Chongsrid

Ruetai Chongsrid serves as the Senior Director of Academic, Curriculum, and Learning Media Development at Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. For over 26 years, she has led a STEM program for gifted and talented youth, aiming to ignite interest in science, enhance creative thinking, and motivate professional pursuits in scientific fields. This program also focuses on training teachers to develop gifted and creative STEM curricula.

Ruetai is a distinguished STEM ambassador and a senior core trainer for the Little Scientists House Project. She is an expert on the Children's University Project and serves on the committee selecting candidates for Thailand's representation at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting and the Global Young Scientists Summit.

Her contributions to STEM education have earned her numerous international recognitions, including being named the outstanding educator in Asia at the 2015 International Leadership Visitor Program. She was also a scholar representative for Asia at the 2019 International Dialogue on STEM Education in Berlin and received accolades for her performance at the 2021 ANSO Training on Sustainable Development and Leadership Enhancement. Additionally, she was a speaker and moderator at the 2021 UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development.

Ruetai has organized over 100 national and international STEM events, such as the Junior Science Talent Project and the 15th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness in 2018. She has authored and edited more than 50 books on science and gifted education, with titles including "Good Young Researcher Like Good Chef" and "Fun Science Experiments." Her publications have won several national awards, such as the National Good Children Book Award and the National Mention Good Children Book for Moral in New Normal Award.
