I have a Bachelor Degree in Education with Science and Computer. This degree aims to equip us with the knowledge of educational training and use of technology in teaching and learning. Later, I have been involved in research on the use of drone in teaching and learning among primary and secondary school students. Since 2020, we have been organizing Drone Edu Challenge, a competition to nurture the interest in science through the use of drone among school students. I am also one of the consultants in the National Robotics Roadmap, commissioned by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia. I am now helping with the establishment of the Robotic Talent Development Academy (RoTDA) for MOSTI. Last year, I was awarded a Fundamental Research Grant Scheme by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia to lead a research project on developing STEM knowledge through drone technology for school-aged learners.

I have a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). I have a demonstrated history of working in information technology and e-learning skills. I am a certified Moodle trainer by Moodle, and I am holding an approved Basic Training and Advanced Training course by Erasmus+.
My responsibilities at PTUK are supporting the digital learning environment, including course design, development, and implementation. I also deliver multimedia content and provide ongoing resources and digital learning tools like assignments, quizzes, and forums for tutors and students.
I have taken part in many international projects. Such as the Palestinian Academic and Agribusiness Cooperation project "PAAC" funded by NUFFIC / Maastricht University (Netherlands), and ROMOR FAIR Research Data Management Project funded by Erasmus+ / Parma University, (Italy). I am a member of the e-Learning and Open Learning Sub-Network of the Union of Universities of the Mediterranean area UNIMED. I am a speaker at fostering the creation of Open Education Ecosystems in the Mediterranean hosted by UNIMED- Rome, Italy. I have participated in Euro-Mediterranean Intercultural Trends Training by Anna Lindh Foundation and the UNIMED. I have a PhD in Education from Universidad de Murcia (Spain). I am a researcher and consultant for universities and government entities. I love international education and the development of research capabilities in Latinamerica. In recent years, I have participated in several consulting projects and trained more than 3000 professors and staff. Since 2012, I have been engaged in the internationalization of higher education, holding different positions in higher education and government institutions and actively participating in international networks. I was Head of International Relations at the Universidad del Atlántico, in Colombia. As Internationalization Advisor at the Colombian Ministry of Education, I led the project "Promoting the Internationalization of Higher Education", supporting Colombian HEIs in strengthening their internationalization capacities. At SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje), I led the internationalization at home strategy. I have been also leader of internationalization of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia.

Ruetai Chongsrid serves as the Senior Director of Academic, Curriculum, and Learning Media Development at Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. For over 26 years, she has led a STEM program for gifted and talented youth, aiming to ignite interest in science, enhance creative thinking, and motivate professional pursuits in scientific fields. This program also focuses on training teachers to develop gifted and creative STEM curricula.
Ruetai is a distinguished STEM ambassador and a senior core trainer for the Little Scientists House Project. She is an expert on the Children's University Project and serves on the committee selecting candidates for Thailand's representation at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting and the Global Young Scientists Summit.
Her contributions to STEM education have earned her numerous international recognitions, including being named the outstanding educator in Asia at the 2015 International Leadership Visitor Program. She was also a scholar representative for Asia at the 2019 International Dialogue on STEM Education in Berlin and received accolades for her performance at the 2021 ANSO Training on Sustainable Development and Leadership Enhancement. Additionally, she was a speaker and moderator at the 2021 UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development.
Ruetai has organized over 100 national and international STEM events, such as the Junior Science Talent Project and the 15th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness in 2018. She has authored and edited more than 50 books on science and gifted education, with titles including "Good Young Researcher Like Good Chef" and "Fun Science Experiments." Her publications have won several national awards, such as the National Good Children Book Award and the National Mention Good Children Book for Moral in New Normal Award.
